An unemployed man has been arrested for several counts of theft. He has been interviewed where he gave a no comment interview. There are several witnesses to the thefts who have given statements. There is also CCTV footage relating to some of the incidents and there are currently statements from the police stating what the footage shows. Copies of the CCTV evidence have been requested. The man will be represented but not by the same person that was present at the police station when he was interviewed. He has been bailed to attend the magistrates’ court hearing in two weeks.
